I am currently a graduating senior at the University of Michigan. I am pursing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Strategy and a Bachelor of Arts in Arabic & Islamic Studies with plans to apply to medical school. My time at the University of Michigan has taught me that higher education is an opportunity to explore your interests and develop your personal goals for the future.
I was born and raised in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. My parents are both Palestinian and I grew up with a very rich cultural identity. As new immigrants to this country, they taught me to always give my best effort and to never lose hope.
I know that one day I will be a doctor that makes a meaningful impact on the health of individuals across the globe. I am particularly interested in working in developing countries in the Middle East and creating sustainable local solutions to health care.
